OJSA Christmas Cracker
OJSA Event - Christmas Cracker
Following feedback from the parent population, here is a bit more insight into the Christmas Cracker.
It is a normal school uniform day BUT with a festive jumper on top.
A quiet shopping experience will be offered to children who need it so they will be brought into the hall before 3.25pm by their teacher to shop and play if they would like. Then, during the event, one of the classrooms will be a dedicated peaceful colouring room for children to spend time in.
Stalls will mostly cost 50p but some gifts on the shopping stall could cost up to £2 maximum. There are lots of free games where children can win prizes. Every child will have free refreshments and be able to pick a free wrapped gift from the lucky dip.
We will have a card point for children to buy tokens to pay at stalls with (our card readers are minimum £1.00) We will ‘buy back’ any unspent cash tokens. Please can children ensure they know their PIN’s just in case and bring their card/cash in a named and secure wallet or ziplock bag.
The Cracker is a free event to attend and is not compulsory. However, if your child is staying, then they will need to stay for the duration and be collected by an adult from their classroom doors at 4.30pm – this includes Year 5 and 6.
Given the lack of daylight, it is essential that each child be collected and will not be able to walk home alone – this includes Year 5 and 6.
We’re still in need of a couple more helping hands so please sign up if you can help run a stall. If you have any questions ahead of the event, or any feedback after, please don’t hesitate to get in touch ojsassociation@yahoo.co.uk
Merry Christmas from the OJSA Team
